Where do the funds go?
Funds from the casino fundraiser go along way to help the school in complementing the learning that students receive at Somerset School. We raise a min of $70K during our casino fundraiser, which we use for the next year and a half. We have used these funds to purchase new technology (new chrome books, computers), gym equipment, field trips, educational resources, residencies and so much more!
Education Resources
Educational resources are an important part of student learning. We have provided funds to purchase new technology (laptops, chrome books), books, phonics training program and so much more!
Field Trips
Students love field trips and it enhances their learning experience. We believe that field trips should be open to all students. Our funds help offset transportation and program fees, thereby alleviating those additional costs from families.
Sport/Educational Residencies
Funds raised also help to bring in sports and educational residencies for the students. Past residencies we've been able to support have been soccer, arts, and music.
